Cheers to the weekend #8

Just like that, there are less than two weeks until our honeymoon! My husband and I will be spending our first Christmas and New Years together as a married couple in sunny New Zealand. On one hand, I’m thrilled because it’s summer on their side of the globe. On the other, I’m worried about it not fully feeling like Christmas when we get there, so I’m cramming as much holiday spirit as I can into things before we leave. Until then, enjoy a few of this week’s favorite things!

Waiheke Island // While researching things to do in New Zealand (there’s no shortage!), one of the places that immediately jumped out was Waiheke Island. Imagine a small, tropical paradise where you can walk between beaches and wineries. That’s Waiheke! Can we please get more island paradises like this on America’s East Coast?

Downtown Holiday Market // Set right across from the Smithsonian Art Museum and National Portrait Gallery, this holiday market might be everything you need for a bit of Christmas spirit! It features over 150 vendors and from the looks of it, you don’t have to worry about any sketchy pyramid scheme companies that normally like to crash these things. Instead, you’ll find local artisans and unique gifts for everyone on your list in a traditional German market setting.

Orangetheory Fitness // In March, I will have been regularly attending Orangetheory classes for TWO YEARS. It blows my mind. I have never ever been a workout person until Orangetheory. I still have to drag myself to class, but I never regret it. My quality of life has changed for the better by incorporating more physical activity and the support of the OTF community is insane. As we start to plan our New Years Resolutions, I’d encourage you to keep them in mind.
