Remember when I wrote about second chance wineries? Well, through no fault of their own, Aspen Dale was alphabetically first on that list. New Zealand’s Wine Island

Waiheke Island might be small, but it has made a big name for itself. Merely a 45-minute ferry ride from Auckland, this island hosts over a dozen vineyards, with many being a walkable distance from one another. My husband Jimmy and I chose New Zealand’s epic wine island as our final day trip of our honeymoon. Gray Ghost Vineyards

We have one weekend left before Christmas and I have a very strong suggestion on how you should spend it. Go to Gray Ghost Vineyards. Drink some seriously good wine. But most importantly, follow up that wine tasting with a tour of their Christmas cork display. Made up of over 200,000 corks (holy shit, that’s a lot of corks), their display is a ridiculous amount of fun.
